: A fabulous opportunity has arisen to join the team at one of the UKs leading retailers. Due to continued success within the marketplace my client requires an experienced Merchandising Professional to join the trend-led menswear division. Reporting directly to the Merchandise Manager your key duties will include: Working closely with the buyers to set departmental sales, margin, markdown targets by season Managing the sales, stock and markdown within season to hit agreed targets Presenting department plans at board level Working closely with the buyers to plan the optimum product range and identify key potential growth areas Raise and maintain supplier purchase orders on the purchase order system Dealing with all aspects of the supply chain from source to warehouse Close liaison with suppliers to effectively plan and manage the intake of stock Ensure on time availability and monitor supplier performance and liaise with buyers to address any issues Produce in season line level sales forecasts to react to changing sales patterns and maximise stock availability Monitor sku performance to identify best and worse sellers and recommend appropriate course of action Full planning and management of WSSI's/OTB at department level Liaise closely with the Store Merchandisers to ensure smooth flow of stock throughout the season Ensure effective communication of relevant issue both within and across departments Produce weekly sales information Working as part of the B and M team to implement company strategy Performing ad hoc product/range/supplier analysis where necessary In order to succeed in this role you will be an experienced Merchandiser with at least one years experience, or alternatively be a a Junior Merchandiser ready to take the next steps. Your skills will ideally but not essentially have been built in a menswear department, at a credible retailer. In addition you must have strong communication and influencing skills, be highly analytical and computer literate and possess strong commercial/retail awareness.
