DUTIES* Develop & maintain a strong corporate identity through the production of proactive & innovative communications messagesthrough the Internet, corporate literature & events* Represent BTP in the public arena, dealing with communication aspects of events & issues to gain positive publicity,raising the profile of the organisation with internal & external stakeholders, as well as the wider public* Contribute to development of the Internet & website* Establish effective media networks to promote the organisation's interestsSKILLS REQUIREDYou will have communications experience within a national organisation, across different communications media, & ofimplementing communications strategies.* Developing & improving media relations* Ability to develop practical, innovative & creative solutions for communications.* Delivering stakeholder relations, corporate branding, marketing & internal communications* Demonstrable track record in building solid networks & working relationships with journalists, & senior personnelwithin private or public sector* Strong influencing skills & the ability to convince through personal credibility* Sound judgement, sensitivity & political awarenessExperience in the police or criminal justice sector would be advantageousIn addition to salary, benefits of working for BTP include a pension scheme, 28 days holiday, childcare vouchers,corporate discounts and an educational assistance scheme.You must have the right to remain and work in the UK.
