Description:

Mechanical Design Engineer: You will be responsible for all mechanical engineering issues pertaining to mobile phone base station filters and associated systems, from conception through to volume manufacture, working on several projects concurrently. Qualified to BEng/MEng Honours degree level in Mechanical Engineering, you also have several years experience in mechanical product design. Your experience includes: Design for medium/high volume manufacturing processes and prototyping; Familiarity with Die-casting/Injection moulding processes; Thermal calculations; Wind loading and stress calculations; Understanding of material properties; Understanding of Limits/fits; Familiarity with 2D-3D drawing packages preferably SDRC IDEAS; Familiarity with process capabilities; Customer/Supplier liaison; Design for environment, assembly/test; Understanding of requirements to meet ETSI, Bellcore, UL and CE standards and ROHS directives.
