Description:

Reporting to the Design Office Manager Merpro - an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to work on a variety of oil andgas related projects including land based, offshore & FPSO applications. The applicant should be qualified to degree/HNDlevel or similar with relevant experience in the design, and analysis of structures, pressure vessels or piping withinintegration packaged units.Capable of working within a team of engineers and draughtsman to provide innovative solutions and working on owninitiative to tight deadlines with minimum supervision to produce reports for submission to client and 3rd partycertifying authorities for approval.Knowledge of one or more of the following software packages would be beneficial: Pressure Vessels analysis: Finglow software. Structural analysis: Staad Pro/QSE Space software Piping: Caesar II software 3-D modeling & Finite Element Analysis: SolidWorks / Cosmos Others: Autocad, Mathcad, Microsoft suite would be beneficialKnowledge of the following design codes in one or more of the following areas would be beneficial: Pressure Vessels PD 5500 / BS EN 13445 / ASME VIII Structural AISC-ASD / BS5750 (also DNV2.7-1 / BS EN 12079 etc) Piping ASME B31.3
