: Key Responsibilities Produce complete manufacturing solutions including the tooling and build specifications Management of product costs associated with introducing the product to manufacturing Create and deliver presentations to other WAe employees. Create and deliver presentations to customers and suppliers. Able to liaise with customers and suppliers on technical issues with limited support from more senior engineers. Manage small projects and IPT members with support from more senior engineers. Keep abreast of current technologies. Able to deputise for the Principal Manufacturing Engineer. Provide support to other departments. Qualifications and Experience Essential Detailed understanding of project planning including costs, time scales and risk management Detailed understanding of the NPI process for designing and introducing new processes Detailed understanding of lean manufacturing processes. Detailed understanding of manufacturing capability and the tools associated with this. Detailed understanding of product costs and able to produce estimated costs for development and full-production with the ability to raise detailed CAR for tooling and capital equipment. Able to provide technical support to other departments. Have an understanding of customer quality and release requirements Desirable Ideally a member of a professional body with Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent from other professional bodies). Ideally possessing a 1st or 2nd class honours degree in an engineering discipline with 8 years experience.
