: Management Accountant to be no.2 to the MD in a small company which is an international market leader in the design, production, sales and marketing of specialist plastic components. A qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with over 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment; have proven people management skills; and strong experience in management accounting, budgeting, costing, financial accounting and VAT. The Management Account will be well-organised and be able to think strategically. As the Management Accountant you will have overall responsibility for the accounting functions within the company; be a pro-active member of the management team and participate in business strategy formulation and implementation; and manage the office in the absence of the MD. The Management Accountant will manage the companys computerised accounting system (S/L, P/L, N/L, BOM, SOP, POP); and produce a full monthly set of management accounts and financial reporting pack for the group HQ in New Zealand. Management of the manufacturing costing system including variance analysis, and preparation of VAT and governmental returns are also part of the role. You may possibly be asked to assume the duties of company secretary. Salary will be toGBP 50K.
