: Linux / Unix Device Driver Software Engineer - Buckinghamshire The successful candidate will be able work within an expanding team, developing device drivers for our increasing portfolio of products. For current projects we are looking for specifically for Linux 2.4 & 2.6 Kernel experience a good knowledge of Windows Kernel level programming would be a great asset. Essential skills and past experience Fluent in C, with a minimum 5 years code writing experience in a commercial environment on Unix platforms. A minimum of 3 years experience in developing kernel level solutions on Linux platforms or porting from Windows solutions to Linux platforms. Experience of Kernel level programming on 2.4 and 2.6 Linux Kernels. Experience of writing Hardware Device Drivers under Linux. Must be able to write and understand concise technical literature. Desirable skills Experience of Kernel level programming on Solaris. Development for Intel and PowerPC target platforms. Experience of telecommunications protocols. Experience of developing distributed solutions Familiarity with Berkeley Sockets API Experience Windows Driver Model Embedded Real Time development in a Linux environment. A Good Knowledge of C++
