Our Client, an offshore and onshore oil and gas contractor, is seeking a Lead Offsites and Utilities Engineer to work onmajor EPC and PMC projects.Experience/Qualifications:Chemical Engineering degree (minimum). It is not expected that a candidate with less than 15 years experience couldfulfil this role. The candidate should be able to demonstrate proven experience and expertise in following fields ideallygained through project execution: 1) Offsites 2) Generation and distribution of utilities 3)Effluent treatment 4) Waterindustry 5) Power generation 6) General infrastructure. The role requires a self-motivated individual with goodcommunication skills. Ability to lead small teams is also required. Analytical and innovative skills to manage new ornovel technology are essential.Job Scope:1) Accept responsibility for development and maintenance of expertise in offsites and utilities. Provide technicalexpertise and assistance to all projects and the process department on all process aspects of offsites and utilities. 2)Be responsible for execution of project activities (under Project Process Manager control) on time, within budget and tothe required quality. 3) Keep up to date with the latest technical developments in the fields of expertise and lead indeveloping appropriate technical solutions for specific project issues. Provide input to project innovation reviews. 4)Leading, motivating and coaching project process teams on refining projects and other projects as business needs dictate.Supervise senior process engineers and process engineers. Report back to manager, Refining Projects, on project progressincluding the performance of the engineers assigned to the project. 5) Be responsible for technical accuracy and qualityof process design on refining projects, and others as business needs dictate, with the support of the Chief Engineer ofthe relevant process group.Rate/Salary: Negotiable but should be good.Duration: Contract or permanent, so whether you are seeking a new contract or permanent position you will have thesecurity of long term prospects with this client. |
