To be responsible for the execution of the piping, mechanical and vessels engineering on projects & enquiries.HNC minimum, Chartered Engineer prefered with a minimum of 10 years experience of pipework/mechanical design and proventrack record of team leadership.Other Matters:The lead mechanical/piping engineer wll lead teams on various projects within the Piping and Mechanical engineeringdepartment. He/She will be responsible for the specification and design of piping systems, rotating machinery, vessels,tanks and heat exchangers. He/She should be willing to travel to and work on assignement in clients offices and sitesResponsiblities:Plan and co-ordinate mechanical and vessels activities on projects and enquiriesPrepare resource scheduling for mechanical and vessels activitiesReport on progress against man-hours used vs earned.Deputise an necessary for the department managerBecome involved, alongside the department manager in the development of junior staffMonitor performance against KPI'sRange and Scope of Activities:Responsible for day to day co-ordination of piping staff, allocation of work and meeting programme deadlines.Working to engineering and departmental procedures to ensure consistancy of approach.liason with the other sections within the department and with the other functional departments within the Company.Taking a leading role in engineering reviews on projects.Provide technical expertise and guidance to direct reports.Salary & Benefits - GBP 27,540 - GBP 39,780car-allowance, BUPA
