: Our client is a global leader in the discovery, manufacture and marketing of innovative specialty chemicals. Their Coating Effects segment, based in Paisley, is the world's leading manufacturer and supplier of coloured pigments for the ink, paint and plastics industries. They are currently seeking an enthusiastic laboratory technician to join the Ink group. The role requires evaluating both established and development products, with a view to gaining a technical or promotional advantage in the marketplace. This is achieved by working closely with colleagues in Marketing, Research &Development and the Technical Operation. The post is likely to be filled by a candidate holding, or studying for, a minimum qualification of HNC in Chemistry. Previous experience in pigment chemistry and technology would be desirable, but not essential. The successful candidates will have good verbal and written communication skills, capable of working within a team but also capab! le of organising their own work. They should also be capable of demonstrating a flexible and self-motivated approach to their present responsibilities. Good practical ability and a willingness to learn are important.
