Through providing its expertise, Investment Services actively contributes to Barclays' status as one of the world's most admired financial services groups.The role: Providing extensive support to Senior Management/Executives by acting as Personal Assistant/Team Assistant, you will support the Gerrard Investment Committee as well as the Chief Operating Officer and Director, Head of Investment Communications. Representing the Bank and Investment Services' image in high profile situations will require the ability to exercise considerable initiative and display a high level of social and interpersonal skills when dealing with a range of people at all levels of seniority.The person: A graduate with a desire to learn and a passion for investments, you will have a working knowledge of equity and fixed income securities, markets, and investment analysis techniques. You will be PC literate will good skills in Microsoft Office and will use your secretarial skills to provide support to the Senior Management while gaining the skills and knowledge to take your career within Barclays to the next stage.Excellent time management and organisational skills and the ability to actively build and maintain positive and effective working relationships with all members of staff are essential.
