Description:

Our client is a world leading FMCG business with a turnover of GBP 2000m and trading profit of circa GBP 200m across over 26 countries in Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia. They are looking for a recently Qualified Accountant to become a key member of the International Finance Team, which has responsibility for making sense of the International business ensuring delivery of accurate, timely and relevant financial and management information. Working from the UKs Headquarters in Slough you will be required to provide financial and management accounting support and guidance to a wide section of senior International functional members and their teams. Key activities and accountabilities include monthly and quarterly management reporting, involvement in co-ordination of strategy and budget processes, advising senior managers on controlling their costs centres, provision of management accounting analysis and potential involvement for involvement in tax reviews. As outlined above, this is a varied and challenging role which will ideally suit a dynamic individual who has a very positive attitude and who is creative and innovative in providing ideas to improve processes. Qualified Accountant (ideally ACA) with a good University degree, strong process skills, ability to work within tight deadlines, project management and team working skills.You will have had sound practical experience where you will have built up a confidence to manage internal and external relationships. You must have self motivation and the ability to motivate others coupled with excellent communication skills thus an ability to build strong working relationships at all levels. This is a fantastic first move into a dynamic, global industry and would be an invaluable step for someone with ambitions to progress to FD positions in the future.
