My client is a renowned for promoting from within the ranks on the basis of meritsand performanceAs the successful candidate you will be responsible for the commercial aspects of the structures or roadworks working ona major highways joint venture project, whilst reporting to a Senior Quantity Surveyor/Assistant Commercial Manager.Duties include but are not limited to: Reporting and monitoring on Sub-Contract liabilities and allowance draw for the Sub-Contractors on a monthly basis andforecasting the onward position. Management and measurement of major Sub-Contract Accounts from enquiry through to Final Account. Maintaining Contractual correspondence, early warnings and the pricing of compensation events with Sub-Contractors andthe Employer. Playing a key role with the construction teams including pricing and monitoring of budgets/forecasts, drawing weeklyand monthly allowances, monitoring material wastage etc. Responsibility for developing and managing junior QS staff.Requirements: Professional Memberships are advantageous (RICS or CIOB) BSc in Quantity Surveying or a construction related subject 3 - 7+ years UK Quantity Surveying experience Contractor background with a civil engineering background Experience working on roads/highway projectsRef: RM1-5974Services advertised by Project Resource Ltd are those of an agency and/or an employment business.
