: You must have at least 2 years experience of insurance companies, preferably within a Chartered Accountancy firm or insurance organisation. An accounting qualification is also essential. You should also have strong accounting knowledge, both of insurance specific areas and UK GAAP more generally. Knowledge of US GAAP or IAS would be an advantage, but is not a pre-requisite.
