PURPOSE:1To provide efficient and professional support to the Development Department in all aspects of the new-build development process to ensure the provision of an effective development service.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:1Assist with the preparation, monitoring and collation of statistical information such as key performance indicators, benchmarking and housing quality indicators for new developments.2Collate, file and make available up to date information in respect of development policies and procedures, details of schemes in development, annual completions, contractor and consultant performance appraisals, budgets, cash flows and expenditure, and Board reports.3Assist the project team in the maintenance of records and submission of applications and claims for project approval and draw down of grants from the Housing Corporation.4Liaise with Project Managers to ensure that a Key Document File is completed for each scheme with particular reference to scheme audit and loan requirements. Liaise with Finance department to make documents available for draw down from loan facilities.5To assist with queries relating to defects reported in respect of new and existing residents, liaising with tenants and contractors as necessary6Maintain appropriate computerised and papers records and filing systems in respect of new-build contracts, general photocopying7Set up and maintain a technical library.8Provide responsive office cover for the development team and deal effectively with enquiries in their absence.9Undertake any other administrative duties that may arise from time to time.QUALIFICATIONS Educated to GCSE level, with passes in Maths and English, or equivalent standard.EXPERIENCEMinimum 12 months administrative experienceKnowledge of the work of a development department or similarExperience of updating information on and using databasesKNOWLEDGEBasic knowledge of building construction methods and building contractsBasic knowledge of development proceduresSKILLSAbility to set up good office systems in order to ensure that information held is accessible and up to date.Good communication skills, both written and verbalBe literate and numerateAbility to compose own correspondence in response to routine enquiriesTo be fully competent in MS Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel.Excellent organisational skills Ability to work on own initiative to ensure that key tasks are achievedGENERALA commitment to equality and diversityA good team playerA commitment to putting customers first Demonstrates a willingness to help othersAble to demonstrate a commitment to equal opportunitiesHave a flexible attitude to workFull drivers licenceConfidence in dealing with members of the public |
