Description:

: The role requires strong design experience and someone who can mentor other members of the team. Qualifications BSc or HNC in Civil Engineering or related subject Corporate Membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers, Incorporated Engineer (or similar professional qualification). Experience Minimum 3 years relevant post-qualification experience in the feasibility and preliminary design of Traffic Engineering schemes (Traffic calming, safety schemes, junction improvements, cycleway schemes, and local highway improvements). Duties Preparation of feasibility and preliminary highway designs using manual and computer techniques, in accordance with relevant design codes of practice, standards and advice notes. Preparation of project programmes and fee estimates. Preparation of sound and innovative technical and practical solutions. Preparation of reports and scheme cost estimates. Consultations including meetings with third parties and clients. IT Skills Computer literate and thoroughly conversant with MS Office suite. Experience of project programming using MS Project.
