Description:

Main Activities: With responsibility for all BBS UK Sales & Customer Service activity, drive the Sales and Customer Services teams todeliver results in an effective manner Formulate and deliver the sales and customer service strategy for BBS UK Establish cost and sales budgets and be accountable for meeting them for both direct reports and personally. Analyse and report on sales trends & activities, identifying key opportunities for growth Setting, monitoring & achieving KPIs Develop and deliver a CRM strategy for the UK Sales business Work with direct reports to target new customers, ensuring visit schedules are in place Participation in and completion of assigned special projects Lead, mentor and develop the sales and customer services management team to meet both business and individual personalgoals Keep informed of new and existing products, enhancements, services, etc. offered by all companies within the Blackwellgroup Other duties as reasonably requiredSkills/Experience Required: Proven track record of growing sales and providing excellent customer service Strong experience in needs based/consultative selling strategies and techniques Skilled in motivating, coaching and providing leadership Excellent oral and written communication skills are required, in addition to the ability to make presentations to largegroups Excellent budget management skills Demonstrated ability to work independently, meet targets and establish and maintain professional relationships Excellent prioritising, analytical & organisational skills. Strong computer literacy Flexibility to travel as a major part of the role First-hand knowledge of book trade, journals or library profession an advantage
