: My client prides themselves as one of the leading construction companies with a strong presence in Europe and America. They have offices in over 90 locations and describe themselves as a world leader in the building, civil works and electricity/maintenance markets. They have currently won new business in the region of 90M and are bidding for a further GBP 50M to start at the beginning of next year. Due to increased project wins they are currently seeking a crucial hire to head up their Planning Department. This will be based at their UK Head Office in South London. Their current focus is around healthcare, education and social housing projects including new build and refurbishment. To apply for this role you need to have a solid background in construction (6+ years), ideally from a contracting background. You will need experience of the full project life cycle from bid/tender stage through to project completion. As a large amount of their project wins have been in the PFI arena, any experience of heading up the planning on these projects would be highly advantageous. You will be managing a team of 4 planners so any experience of managing personnel or mentoring junior members is highly beneficial.
