Description:

A major mobile operator requires a Head of Product Management to lead their Handset Product management team. This role will require you to own the companys UK handset range by selecting and delivering the right handsets through the international range.You will manage a team of around 10 handset Product Managers, driving them to establish robust relationships with the manufacturers which in turn will hel to create a competitive advantage in the market place. This role is responsible for the companys handset portfolio. It has the challenge to drive a visible difference to the companys competitive capability by selecting the right devices. The challenge of this role will be to build and maintain a successful new handset product management team as well as represent Terminal Management at Director level both internally and with the handset suppliers. You will also be required to be the technical expert of the products ensuring they meet customer expectationsThe successful applicant will have at least 10 years product management experience, with at least 5 years experience of managing and building teams. Mobile Handset/Device product management is essential. This is a permanent role but an interim consultant would be considered.
