Considerable investment has been made in the companys Midlands-based manufacturing facility.THE PERSON Successful management within a manufacturing environment Prime mover in new system development, ie TPM Well developed project management skills Direct exposure to manufacturing processes/ production management Success in managing relations with internal and external customers/third parties/sub-contractors Management of a significant maintainance/engineering department Exposure to varied shift patterns Appreciation of asset enhancement and clear evidence of success in enhancing profitability Proven ability to see process opportunities and subsequently deliver effective change Responsibility for capital projectsTHE ROLE Interpret within the specific areas of engineering, the companys objectives in respect of the effectiveness of themanufacturing process, plant, machinery and investment in new equipment and the management of TPM. To help recruit, train, appraise and motivate Engineering Team members and to ensure that they understand and observeall applicable policies, rules and procedures Oversee all development projects as required from inception through to commissioning: Review the current engineering strategy and then keep abreast of new methodologies in areas of maintenance and otherrelevant disciplines in order to advise the Operations Director on major developments required to enhance businessefficiencies Assist in setting annual departmental budgets, ensuring financial targets are achieved and prepare budgets and costjustifications where required to enable the Operations Director to make effective decisions about the current and futurebusiness.
