Design, implementation, and testing of hardware systems. Mainly using proprietary hardware components for control panels,I/O, or cubicle build for monitoring / control systems and equipment for the Utilities business. This is an entry-levelrole, or for someone with one/two years' experience, with the opportunity to gain extensive, broad experience.Role Description: Design and implementation of hardware systems (control panels, I/O, cubicles) using proprietary hardware components,sub assemblies and assemblies Design tests for implementation work Document all design and implementation and test results Translating hardware requirements into hardware specification Wiring and component/ assembly building and testing of prototypes Site surveying Interfacing with other hardware/software systems All work undertaken to QA procedures.Essential Requirements: Appropriate hardware engineering qualification (HND/BTEC) or comparable industrial experience Willingness to travel and work at customer sites on occasion Driving licence At least 2 years experience of AutoCAD Lite 2000 Experience of designing control panels and cubiclesDesirable Skills: PLC hardware experience Experience of control panel design for PLC and SCADA applications Knowledge of 16th Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations (that applicable only to panel design)Personal Qualities: Ability to work as part of a team Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines Have good communication skills Be flexible in their methods of workingSalary rangeStaffordshire GBP 19-22 kpaCumbria GBP 18-25 kpa |
