HARDWARE DESIGNER WITH BOARD DESIGN & FPGA PROGRAMMING FOR CAMBRIDGE START UPOur client is seeking a Hardware Design Engineer with 4 years+ experience developing high speed digital and/or data conversion designs preferably for the telecommunications industry. You will have experience in PCB level design and programmable logic implementation ideally as primary design authority. You are also able to demonstrate many of the following skills: Knowledge of high speed buses, transmission lines and termination, experience with FPGA, CPLD devices (Xilinx desirable) and LVDS, PECL and SSTL bus standards. Understanding of ADC/DAC layout and performance considerations, circuit layout for EMC and EMI, DFT and DFM considerations. Development of programmable logic using VHDL, understanding of multi-clock domain design and synchronization, experience with tools such as OrCAD, ModelSim, and ISE. Skills in C or C++ for driver/test development.
