Description:

Requirements * Good working knowledge of system-level C-programming in a UNIX/Linux environment, and reasonable knowledge of C++ Experience of socket-level network programming and knowledge about network protocols. * Ability to function well in a small team, requiring self-motivation and the ability to work well under pressure. * Creative problem solver * A finisher who can deliver working/debugged code in a timely manner * Bright - the successful candidate will probably have a 2:1 or 1st in Computer Science (or similar discipline) from a top university and a grade A in A-Level maths. * Appreciation of scalability and performance in system design Technical curiosity and an interest in networking and broadband applications. * Useful detailed knowledge of low-level networking (E.g. detailed understanding of TCP/IP) Experience of writing high-performance network server applications Perl programming Low-level Linux/UNIX knowledge (e.g. kernel development) Experience of user interface design MySQL programming.
