An exciting position for a GPS systems engineer has become available within a dynamic and Market leading company based inHertfordshire.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Technical authority on SiGe GPS products, to support both internal and external parties on technical aspects of the GPSproduct range from ICs through to reference designs.ACTIVITIES WILL INCLUDE:Modelling of system design, specification of key parameters and estimation of overall performance;Communication of system-level information through documentation, presentation and active involvement;Support of customer designs based on SiGe GPS chipsets advise on systems requirements and implementation details toensure successful designs;Contribution to the strategic planning activities of the company (e.g. new product ideas);Systems Technical review authority for all documentation relating to SiGe GPS products;Experience/Skills required:Understanding and experience of receiver/demodulator system level simulation;Some background in signal processing design.Familiarity with MATLAB and Agilent ADS or similar simulation tools.Background in engineering design of digital, analogue and RF components or products;Track record of design with analogue/RF semiconductors and board-level products into high volume manufacture; experienceof RF semiconductor or component manufacture, specifying/designing for tolerance and process spread.
