An exciting role has become available within the GPS applications team for a dynamic and leading company based inHertfordshire.The successful candidate will contribute to the success of the companys current and new GPS ICs, drawing on their RFproduct design and applications experience.Activities involved within this role will include:- specification and design of board-level RF schematics,- management of PCB layout, build contractors and component procurement,- generation of application notes and documentation fit for use by customers,- measurement and analysis of new devices in conjunction with the IC design team.The successful candidate will also be involved in the development and maintenance of relationships with key RF passivecomponent vendors, and in providing feed-back of requirements requests for new ICs.A proportion of your work will be in direct support of SiGe's key customers and sales team. The role will involveoccasional travel to customer and company sites worldwide.Essential Skills and experience for this role include:- Demonstrated strong skills in RF design, measurement and theory, developed over about 5 years in RF semiconductor,consumer product or related industries.- Experience with at least one RF modelling tool, matching and gain plan analysis.- Additional experience in the specific areas of GPS, customer support or test automation would be an asset.
