Description:

Role Experienced in site investigation including the installation of piezometers, extensometers and other forms of ground movement monitoring instrumentation. Experienced in drilling and grouting of mine workings (including mineshafts). Knowledge of below ground surveying using ultrasonic and micro seismic techniques. Experienced in the collection of data from the above instrumentation. Reporting to senior site staff on contractors operations generally. Experienced in the management and interpretation of data from the above instrumentation types, and able to manage and interpret data from instrumented batching and materials delivery systems. In particular, the ability to assess the significance of the data collected in the context of early detection of ground behaviour/response. Ability to manage data effectively and report to senior project team members on actual or emerging trends as they affect the evaluation of ground response during the works. Key CompetenciesQualifications Degree in Civil Engineering, Geology or Engineering Geology. Minimum 2-3 years post graduate MSc Geotech Eng desirable but not essential. Experience in a site based role including liaison with Contractors and Client representatives.
