: Responsibilities of Position: "Responsible for Powerplant Engineering, Repair Development Engineering, Performance Engineering & Engine/APU Test Cell. "Develop and enhance engineering discipline at Site. "Resolve technical problems as related to Repair & Overhaul of ALF502/LF507 Turbofan. "Evaluate engine and component reliability trends and initiate technical improvements aimed at improving customer satisfaction. "To champion engineering projects to drive cost reduction through the organisation. "Interpret engine performance data, initiate programs to increase "Time Between Overhaul". "Interpret engine test cell/performance data to increase 'First Pass Yield' and decrease 'Runs to Yield a Pass'. "Represent the interests of the customer, the company and the Engineering department in all decision-making. "Maintain effective liaison between Engineering and other departments. "Use Six Sigma tools to improve/develop processes that benefit the business. "Ensure Tests Cells are operated and calibrated with supporting documentation to satisfy Company and Regularity requirements. "Configuration management of Engine and to APU Test Cells. "Resolve technical problems related to Engine & two APU Test Cells. "Support Engine/APU trouble shooting whilst in the Test Cells. "Liaise with HS&E, Facilities and Security Manager on relevant issues for the Engine & APU Test Cells. Key Success Factors: "Leadership skills, and ability to create innovative solutions to problems. "Strong customer focus with an aggressive bias for action and growth. Attributes/Skills Required/Sought: "Knowledge and understanding of gas turbine engines and regional airline maintenance market. "Able to communicate effectively with external and internal customers. "Demonstrate leadership and be an effective communicator across the organization. "Demonstrate initiative, ownership and accountability. "Technical competence, analytical ability and good presentation skills. "Work well under pressure of multiple priorities. "Six Sigma Black Belt/Green Belt. Experience/Education Required/Sought: "Engineering Degree or HND with relevant (5yrs) engineering management experience. "Detailed knowledge of Gas Turbines, including engine test/performance analysis. "Experience in leadership within a high performance work organisation. "Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements (CAA/JAA/FAA).
