Additionally, they have provided logistics management for major engineering projects.My client offers a range of services to keep projects running smoothly:Global sea and air freightInternational land transportCharter transportCargo consolidationMarshallingRoute surveysCustoms clearance and documentationWarehousing and storageOnline status tracking (link)Partner pre-qualification and managementTotal logistics managementManagement reports and analysis.Due to planned expansion my client is looking to take on a business development manager to cover the south of the UK.Key ActivitiesDevelopment of business within a defined territory as well as any additional locations assigned by the Logistics Director;Development and implementation of action plans to maximise my clients penetration of target accounts;Networking within industry and overseas agents to expand sales opportunities;Development of cold call projects to create business opportunities;Managing responses to RFI/RFP opportunities;Analyse selling situations and create client focused solutions;Plan, prepare and deliver effective business presentations and proposals;Adopting a consultative sales approach focused on building long-term relationships for the company, agree Service Level Agreements (SLAs)with target accounts;Plan and structure the management of client handover to Operational Division following signing of SLA;Effective communication with functional/departmental colleagues to ensure a full understanding of operational requirements is achieved and maintained;Participate in Corporate Account Performance Review:Participate and contribute effectively to team selling situations;Provide business leads to other divisions within the company to facilitate client revenue growth; Contribute to global sales initiatives, under direction of Logistics Director;Utilise and investigate MATS database for development of Logistics sales opportunities and client development;Actively promote the company and its services through community and business related activities;If you have been within the logistics industry for a period of 3 years or more and have valuable experience to give from the areas listed above I would like to hear from you, therefore please forward your CV at your earliest convenience. |
