Ref No: 538 Vacancy: ForemanLocation: Selby, West YorkshireOperations Debrief of previous day with Operations staff from notes taken -all completed paper work handed in Briefing of day (or more) ahead with Operations staff- Paper work for day to be taken to site Liaise with Operations Department regularly and continually be aware of the bigger picture Assist with development of operatives Be able to work away for short periods (normally between 2 - 5 days at a time).Staff Motivate all team members Organise and brief site team of days proceedings and introduce new members of the team Gather correct tools PPE and other equipment required each day Organise and manage site team to erect/dismantle marquees Ensure a high quality of workmanship and quality of product Ensure staff safety and promote safe working practices Instill and maintain a high level of discipline Encourage improvement within the team Keep a record of individual staff performances and liaise with Operations DepartmentSite Motivate the team throughout the day Liaise with client on arrival on site and throughout contract Brief site crew on arrival at site, pass on any information from site risk assessment form and ensure is all signed off Train staff on the job where possible continually working to improve team and people Ensure site is left tidy and in good condition (particularly on dismantle) Ensure customer satisfaction Job Sheets updated, signed and handed in Completion of equipment defect forms and debrief forms for every job erect and dismantle Complete accident/incident reports (vehicles and staff) if necessary Liaise with other site contractors during the day inform Operations Department Look after all equipment properly Endeavour to solve problems on site, to ensure successful completion of job Take responsibility for larger contracts Professional attitudeVehicles Ensure vehicles to be used (inc. Forklifts) have been inspected, tidied and loaded correctly Ensure safe arrival on site of staff and vehicles Ensure vehicle security (lock doors, protect load) Ensure load security Ensure authorised drivers to drive vehicles and plantGeneral Man Management experience essential (in charge of a team of up to 12) Look for opportunities to improve self with training Ensure team endeavor to keep warehouse tidy Keep abreast of H&S updates and changes Spot supervisory potential in operatives Must be able to think on your feet and be level headed Must have an active spirit and have energySalary: GBP 18-22k
