Description:

Due to expansion our client is looking to recruit a fire safety consultant to work from a home office. The work will takeplace in Avon and the surrounding area up to eighty miles travel.The successful candidate must have served in fire authority service operational to the rank of sub. officer and will havea extensive knowledge of B1 building regulations, the Fire Precautions Act 1971; Fire Precautions Regulations 1997 andhave good knowledge of the proposed Fire & Safety Order 2006 and have at least 3 years experience in a similar role. Thecandidate must also be able to survey buildings and premises from small shops to large multiple occupancy offices.The role will include fire risk analysis, fire growth and development, modelling means of escape and evacuationmodelling, development of building fire safety plans and prescriptive fire precautions interpretation, overseeing andassisting fire evacuation drills, occupiers compliance surveys, preparing fire safety certificates, advising clients ontheir legal responsibilities for fire safety compliance and give basic and fire warden fire safety training.In return our client offers a generous salary and benefits package.W5 Recruitment is a specialist recruitment consultancy that was established to provide recruitment expertise within theenvironmental sector.
