My Client provides a comprehensive range of instrumentation for rental and outright purchase. The instruments coverelectrical power measurement, electrical test, pressure temperature, humidity, noise, airflow, water flow, etc. Whileused mainly in building services applications, the customer base covers specialist consultants, contractors and endusers.My Client is a distributor for over 30 manufacturers and holds comprehensive stock of instruments for purchase, includinga range of thermal image cameras. They also offer a calibration service which has UKAS accreditation. With new productdistribution agreements just completed, they are looking to increase sales in all activities of the business.Reporting to the Sales Manager and covering the Midlands and the north of England plus some customers in Scotland, thefield sales engineer will be expected to actively promote the business activities of Instrument Solutions, comprising ofhire, calibration and sales and all associated services. The Field sales engineer will be located where coverage of thedesignated area can be managed efficiently.Sales activities associated with new product distribution agreements such as Air tightness testing equipment will formpart of this responsibility until such time that additional resource can be made available.Key activitiesTo achieve sales performance targets for the designated areaTo maintain contact with and develop business with designated key accounts.To communicate customer requirements to head officeTo seek out new business opportunities, generate and convert new prospectsTo generate quotations and follow up these to covert to ordersTo monitor competitor activity and coordinate action with the Sales ManagerTo provide information on visits and meetings with customersTo search for networking opportunities with business related associations and societies, trade exhibitions, andconferencesTo be involved in entertaining customers and prospects as and when required.To participate in company promotional activities, seminars and exhibitionsTo provide, and assist, management with area business plansTo maintain customer contact records.Key requirementsTechnical qualification: ONC, HNC, B tech, C&GKnowledge of Controls and or Instrumentation2 + years Field Sales experienceSome experience of Building services applications (installation, service or facilities management)Proven ability to generate new business, maintain and develop repeat business.Good communication skills at all levels.PackageGBP 28k Basic salary + bonus , OTE GBP 35kCompany carBUPAMobile phone |
