RESPONSIBLE TO: House Manager and General ManagerOBJECTIVE: To provide and maintain standards of cleanliness, comfort and dcor in the guest areas, in order to promotethe style and quality of the hotel and the Company.DUTIES:1. To ensure staffing levels are operated within the department in accordance with agreed standards.2. To ensure that staff training is carried out and maintained in accordancewith Company standards.3. To ensure that guest and ancillary areas are cleaned and maintained to, and in accordance with agreed standards.4. To ensure that the daily work is carried out in accordance with agreed procedures.5. To ensure the accurate recording and control of movements of linen and uniform in accordance with agreed procedures.6. To ensure personal attendance during linen stocktaking exercises in accordance with Company procedures.7. To be aware of budgetary controls. To ensure that no expenditure is undertaken without a purchase order signed by theGeneral Manager.8. To ensure that no presentation standards are changed without the permission of the General Manager or Deputy GeneralManager.9. To ensure maintenance of agreed stock levels of cleaning materials and guest supplies in accordance with agreedprocedures.10. To ensure co-ordination monitoring of standards of repairs and maintenance.11. To ensure the control of external contractors in accordance with agreed procedures.12. To ensure accurate records maintained of receipt and distribution of stores and supplies in accordance with agreedprocedures.13. To ensure accurate records of receipt and dispatch of left property in accordance with hotel standards andprocedures.14. To ensure effective communication takes place with associated departments in accordance with agreed procedures.15. To ensure training of new employees and recording of such is active.16. To co-ordinate and monitor standards in accordance with agreedprocedures.17. To ensure efficient usage of energy, equipment, materials and suppliesin accordance with agreed procedures.EXTRA RESPONSIBILITIES1. To ensure the highest standards of guest care and welcome is extendedat all times.2. To assist in promoting in-house sales by having full knowledge of theservices and facilities at the hotel.3. To attend all meeting and training sessions as required.4. To have full knowledge of, and be able to act upon the fire procedures aslaid down in the Hotel Fire Plan.5. To carry out duties according to the Health & Safety Regulations and useall equipment with care.6. To carry out all duties according to the hotel security standards.7. To abide by the Company Grooming Policy .8. To carry out Duty Management shifts as required.
