Description:

The estimating surveyor is responsible for receiving enquires direct from clients, architects, local authorities andother professionals. In consultation with the company directors, enquiries will either be accepted for tender or rejectedaccording to their merit and current workload. Enquiries are often in the form of 'specification and drawings', onlyoccasionally will a bill of quantities be included with the enquiry.The company occupies an office in a rural location north of Andover. It is essential that the estimating surveyor is ableand willing to work on his/her own initiative as part of a small team. (Three others work in the office on a full timebasis with visiting site managers and part time quality surveyors.It is essential that this position is filled by an applicant with previous similar experience, probably in a similarenvironment who is computer literate, commercially aware, self motivated and with a methodical approach to their work. Aformal construction related qualification will be required with a thorough practical understanding of the buildingprocess.Our Client is an equal opportunities employer.
