An exceptional career opportunity to join a well established international organisation which operates within the Civiland Building arena. The group, which turns over around GBP 150million, is seeking to employ an Estimating Manager.The group has a strong long term commitment to the UK market and will over time seek to expand its operation to encompassa total of six offices which will eventually be overseen by a UK Managing Director - which allows the successfulcandidates the opportunity for career progression. Our client are currently winning major contracts in rail, civilengineering, design & build and utilities, hence theyre expansion of the management team.The Role: Reporting to the Area Manager and working alongside the commercial/senior site/procurements managers managing a largeengineering team carrying out major projects in the region of GBP 10m+. To produce fully resourced tenders after arriving at an engineering solution for the project. To produce or work with a planner to arrive at a resourced programme and any other information to be submitted with thetender. To attend pre-contract meetings with the client if required. To attend handover meetings with the contract staff and buyer for the project. Contribute to strategic new business plans for winning future work.The Requirements: Must have minimum of 10-15 years civil engineering experience, either with a surveying background or an estimating andvaluation management background. Must be able to work within a team and help manage planners, surveyors, designers, buyers and sub-contractors in orderto give advantage over competitors. Be able to help update the business with new strategic engineering methods backed up with previous knowledge andexperience. Degree educated in either civil engineering or surveying. Candidate should be willing to travel around the North if required. |
