Estimator - Skills, Knowledge and Special Attributes Needed for this Position:Essential: Professionally qualified (eg Chartered) Engineer. Commitment to achieving deadlines. Commercial awareness.Self-motivated and able to work without routine supervision. Proficient with Microsoft Excel. Willing to adopt a flexibleworking pattern to achieve deadlines. Ability to multi-task.Other Matters: Mobility and flexibility to work anywhere in UK. as there is a likelihood of UK travelResponsibilities:-Assist in the preparation of cost estimates to pre-determined accuracy levels. Assist in the risk management process.Ensure corporate requirements are understood and satisfied.Range and Scope of Activities:-Estimating assistance on projects up to GBP 100million cost. Works within Company procedures. Prepare estimates of varyingaccuracy levels. Prepare schedules of selling rates. Assists in the compilation and management of risk registers.Nature of Problems and Solving them:-Producing estimates to exacting standards and timescales. Ability to anticipate threats to estimate production and giveearly notice to management. Develop an ability to recognise any ignificant deviation to the norms during estimateproduction and notify management.Level of Discretion:-Ensures all estimates are subject to Management approval prior to issue to client. Ensures all commercial information ismaintained in a secure environment.
