Description:

The main requirement is to carry out airborne fibre monitoring for asbestos fibres during asbestos remedial works in linewith current legislative requirements. There may be possibilities for involvement in other areas of environmentalmonitoring including works such as friction measurement of rails, slip testing of floors, dust and diesel monitoring.The successful candidate will be fully trained in airborne fibre monitoring in accordance with HSE document MDHS 39/4(air testing for asbestos exposure), static monitoring and personal exposure to other contaminants.Once you have completed your training you will carry out the following duties:Site work (predominantly at night and a minimum of one weekend in four)On Site MonitoringLiaise with Contractors and Clients on siteProduce technical reportsThe candidate must be fit to carry out on-site testing where equipment may need to be carried, be flexible, have apositive attitude and be a good communicatorCandidates must be degree qualified in a relevant science/environmental disciplineW5 Recruitment is a specialist recruitment consultancy that was established to provide recruitment expertise within theenvironmental sector.
