We have achieved ISO14001 & OHAS18001 accreditation at our 3 distilleries andattained the 2003 Vibes environment award for Bowmore Distillery.We are seeking a forward thinking Environment, Health and Safety Manager to work in a stand-alone position. Thesuccessful candidate is likely to have between 3-5 years experience in a similar managerial role, and be able todemonstrate excellent self-motivation, persuasion skills and have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.Key responsibilities of the role include:- Developing, monitoring and continually improving the HS&E management systems across multiple sites, ensuring compliancewith HS&E legal requirements.- Raising the profile of HS&E throughout the business.- Carrying out audits against ISO14001:2004, OHAS18001 (health & safety) systems.- Designing and delivering HS&E training as required including the induction of new starts- Risk assessment implementation and governance- Organisation of appropriate safety committeesYou will exude strong leadership skills, have an enviable track record within Health and Safety and an ability to planand manage systems in multiple manufacturing sites. Ideally, you will have knowledge of COMAH requirements and experiencein explosive atmospheres and electrical zoning. You will be educated to degree level (or equiv), be NEBOSH certified, andbe able to demonstrate a dedication to meeting business objectives. The role is Glasgow based, though travel to otherScottish sites will be necessary, therefore a driving license is essential.Hudson offers the services of an employment agency for permanent work and an employment business for temporary work.
