Our client are seeking an enthusiastic Software Engineer to join their Embedded Group - a small dedicated team of highly skilled software engineers working on a number of embedded projects.Essential skills and experience required are:A degree in software engineering, computer science or equivalent. At least 3 years C/C++ development on embedded systems.Knowledge and understanding of printing systems and raster image processing.Desirable skills:Knowledge and experience of PDLs (for example, the PostScript language, PDF). Experience of real-time operating systems (VxWorks in particular).Experience of device driver development.Good analytical skills and highly motivated to provide robust solutions to customers.Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.A can-do professional attitude, keen to learn and to take on new challenges.Able to travel, working away from the office and on customer sites as and when needed.Ability to speak Japanese or Chinese would be useful but not essential.
