My client is one of the largest suppliers of Set Top Box and Personal Video Recorder products to broadcasters andretailers across the globe. They currently have little or no presence in the UK but are looking to establish an R&D sitein the Greater London area in order for them to work closely with one of their major broadcast clients. They arecurrently looking to recruit two STB/Embedded Software Engineer's to undertake a range of exciting development projects.The work that is soon to be undertaken in the UK will fall into three main categories:1. Products that are in the field being supported.2. Products that are in the process of being released but still have substantial development work to be undertaken.3. New product design and development work for their latest PVR offering.We are looking for high calibre, degree educated Software Engineer's, preferably with existing STB/PVR experience. Wewill also consider those coming from closely aligned sectors such as the mobile comms/handset sector (GSM, UMTS, GPS,PDA's, Smartphones etc). Strong experience of C/C++ for real time embedded operating systems is essential as at least anappreciation of hardware.
