AUDIO EMBEDDED SOFTWARE ENGINEER REQUIRED FOR CAMBRIDGESHIRE CLIENTOur client is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to develop new audio features for their audio system-on-chip and for new devices currently under development. You will develop new multi-media features, support new storage media (eg flash memory, hard disc) and implement new communication protocols (e.g. USB, PTP). You will be experienced in C programming in an embedded environment with specific experience in one or more of the following areas: Assembler level programming, DSP algorithms and their implementation, implementing of USB protocol stack, protocols running over USB (e.g. PTP), security including Digital Rights Management (DRM), compressed audio codecs (e.g. MP3, WMA or AAC), embedded file systems, device driver development (ideally for flash memory storage), experience of automated testing, appreciation of hardware design.
