You will be involved in complex problem solving, developing technical solutions and contributing to technical reports. The ability to formulate and deliver complex electronics and signal processing solutions is essential. You daily work will consist of; 1) Design and development of high-speed digital signal processing systems. 2) Design and realisation of high-speed digital hardware, including processors, FPGAs, memory, peripherals, ADC/DACs. 3) Algorithm design, modelling, development and simulating in a DSP environment. 4) Algorithm implementation/optimisation in hardware and/or embedded software. It is essential that you have prior experience within a multidisciplinary design team, a proven track record in delivering projects to time and budget whilst achieving technical excellence, and a solid electronic and analytical background. RF/Analogue design experience and domain knowledge in a Radar/Communications environment are also highly desirable. It is also essential that you have experience of some of the following; 1) Modern FPGA design and DSP processor signal processing. 2) Algorithms for detection, sensing and Imaging systems. 3) A strong working knowledge of C within both an embedded and an OS environment. 4) A strong working knowledge of MATLAB. 5) Electronic circuit design, development, integration, test & acceptance. 6) Low Power and Miniaturisation Techniques. 7) Minimum of four years working in industry, preferably in a Defence environment.
