CLIENT DESCRIPTION:The client has been established for over 18 years, initially as a developer of 3D simulation software and services andmoved into the interactive training sphere in 1991. Now over 80% of their turnover is in e-Learning and with their staffof 45 people they are at the forefront providing innovative interactive training solutions.ROLE.PlanningAgree resource assignments with the Operations Director.Attend project kick-off meetings with the client, SME and appropriate employees.Create a macro project plan based on the clients expectations, proposal and Lifecycle documents.Produce an expected project budget breakdown based upon the development budget and macro project plan.At project closure ensure plans exist for ongoing support and maintenance.Agree quality plan with customer and ensure internal processes accommodate any special requirements.Periodically assess risks present in the project and validity of original business case.Process Definition & EducationEducate all client resources working on the assigned projects.Document new process requirements requested by clients and agree the implementation of these with the OperationsDirector.CoordinationAct as the primary point of contact with the client from project kick-off to project completion. Ensure that informationsent by the client is distributed to the correct project team members in a timely manner.Attend project handover meetings with Instructional Designers, Producers, Technical Developers and Designers.Ensure that the project team are following the correct procedures as defined in the content development process.Monitoring & ReportingCommunicate resource requirements to the Operations Director.Update Project Schedule with the latest information.Provide status reports as requested by the client.Ensure project spend is being recorded by Operations Director.Review and respond to daily status reports sent by the Operations Director containing information on:What was expected to have been achievedWhat was achievedWhat needs to be done to "catch up" (if anything)What is the focus for tomorrowMonitor and update the man-hours utilised on the project and conduct frequent comparisons against the project budget.Send weekly updates to the Operations Director.Complete a project debrief from the rest of the project team. Ensure lessons learned are communicated to the OperationsDirector.Escalate project exceptions to senior management.Maintain centralised project documentation.PresalesAssist sales with needs analysis and implementation scoping.Business contributionLearn new skills/software packages as needed for effective Project ManagementEnsure all material produced is of the highest quality and consistencyKeep up-to-date on business and market issues relating to bespoke e-LearningAssist in defining and developing internal operational processes and practicesCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:EssentialHave an excellent development project management track record (5 years minimum) in an e-Learning/training environmentincluding client facing.Be degree qualified in a relevant subjectUsed at least one Project Management methodologyUsed Project Management systems, procedures and softwareBe PRINCE2 qualified or equivalentHave teaching/instructional/training experienceHave worked to or have knowledge of SCORM compliancesHave good client facing and communication skillsExperience of multimedia and e-learning development toolsPreferably experience of Instructional DesignBe IT literate (MS Office)In line with the requirements of the Asylum & Immigration Act 1996, all applicants must be eligible to live and work inthe UK or EU.
