Job DescriptionThe position requires a strong interest in digital integrated circuit design and the use of high level verificationlanguage.You will be expected to contribute to the design, simulation and verification of high performance digital components andarchitectures in order to implement high speed interfaces operating at data rates in excess of 2Gbit/s. In this role youwill work with high level system models to ensure compliance with industry standards and to produce functional siliconwithin a two year project time frame.You will join a focused team that faces many design challenges and will have the opportunity to further your designexpertise, system level understanding and verification skills. In addition to your technical capabilities, you will needto possess strong organizational skills to enable you to produce the task deliverables that are required to meet projectschedules.You will also be expected to support the deployment of your designs in multiple end applications at all stages ofdevelopment, such as silicon debug, characterisation, and on site customer support. An ability to communicate effectivelywith worldwide based colleagues and customers will be essential. There will also be a need to undertake occasionalforeign travel.QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have been working in the digital design field and will be able to demonstrate a successful trackrecord in the development and deployment of one or more high performance digital circuits.We would like to hear from engineers who have experience of some or all of the following: Verilog, Logic Synthesis,Static Timing Analysis, Place & Route, Specman/e or other High Level Verification Languages, Gate level and mixed signalverification, Nanosim, perl. A knowledge of the Cadence design framework, and an ability to work at RTL, gate andtransistor levels would be an advantage.
