He or she would be attracted by the opportunity to develop in a spin out company backed by the resource of the GroupThe ideal candidate will have at least five years commercial software development experience, preferably with an imageanalysis/processing background, and have the potential to develop into a Technical Director role. He or she would beattracted by the opportunity to develop in a spin out company backed by the resource of the GroupThe role has three major functions:- Team leader / lead programmer in a small team of software engineers and computer scientists- Technical authority on systems development- Project management of development programmeSkills and expertise required:- Analysis of operational requirements- Design of complete software systems- Database design and operation, particularly SQL server- Microsoft .Net software development (C++, C#)- Understanding of image generation hardware- Good knowledge of imagery properties and formats- Work planning, scheduling and team delivery against agreed milestones- Development of team capabilities, on an individual and collective level- Comfortable in contacts with customers, likely to include all ranks of Police officers- The successful candidate will require security clearance.Ames Ref 2697 Location N W Kent Salary Negotiable
