This is not a web authoring role. The role holder designs and develops applications such as Electronic Programming Guideswhich run on the product's platform. These applications are tailored according to both internal and external customerrequirements.Skills and Experience:Essential:-Minimum 3 years' commercial JavaScript.Proven experience of technologies such as HTML, CSS, XML, AJAX and Web2.0Sound understanding of the TV format in user interface design (i.e. the TV interface differs from that of a computer) andtaking this into account when styling content.Graphic design expertiseAn understanding of ergonomics i.e. we not only need someone who understands graphic design (colour, form etc.) but alsowhere the graphics appear on the screen and how the user navigates around and across screens.Minimum 3 years' experience of applications development in areas such as set-top-boxes, digital TV, video etc.Person Profile:You must be able to communicate effectively across all disciplines and must be presentable to clients.Ability to understand and assess client needsCreative flairOpen to new ideas, processes and technologiesSelf-managing and self-motivating
