: The key responsibility of this role is to manage product development projects with a focus on the design of pressure vessels. The role will also include reviewing the design of existing components; examining manufacturing methods, materials and alternative design solutions to improve quality and reduce cost. The successful candidate will work closely with customers and suppliers to support projects from conception to implementation. Candidates will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (or be able to demonstrate working experience to this level). Experience of solid modelling and 3-D CAD systems is a necessity, together with experience of introducing new component design, utilising different manufacturing technologies and the ability to manage projects through from conception to implementation. In addition, experience of pressure vessel design, Unigraphics modelling software and finite element analysis would be desirable.
