Design EngineerA leading worldwide manufacturer of automotive applications requires a Design Engineer to join their large existing team.Our client specialises in the design of Automotive components for an established portfolio of Clients. They are lookingfor a self motivated team player with a minimum of 3 years of experience within mechanical design and leading projects.You must be able to demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills and have a strong mechanical aptitude andknowledge of engine/rotating components. You must have excellent computer and communication skills, along with experienceof 3D CAD (Pro/E preferred)Requirements:Engine/rotating component design experienceA high proficiency in the use of Pro/E version 2001or WildFire and Intralink (3 years minimum experience)Knowledge of component release processesDetailing skills would be an advantageExperience of pump design or similar rotating assemblies would be advantageousDesign for manufacture and assembly plus proven problem solving techniquesResponsibility for identifying cost reduction opportunities and their implementationGood communication skills and must be a self motivated team player with the ability to work alone when requiredAttention to detailBenefits:25 days holidaySubsidised canteenFree parkingLife AssuranceRelocation (if needed) for homeowners onlyBonus scheme payable quarterly based on achievement of profitMembership of a stakeholder pension scheme after 3 months service
