Summary of position:Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Deputy Head Housekeeper to ensure the highest standard of cleanliness &maintenance to the public areas, private function rooms, back of house toilets, changing rooms and private guestrooms.Responsibilities: To ensure you report for duty in line with the rota & are presented in a well maintained uniform. To collect worksheet & keys & be responsible for the keys throughout youre working day. To utilise manpower effectively, which involves delegating tasks in such a way that the work of the departmentis carried out correctly & on time. To develop & instigate control procedures for cleaning materials, equipment linen staff & standards ofperformance. To assist in re-assigning cleaning routines & search for & test new techniques & products. Implement legal obligations of the department to include health & safety, fire training, manual handling, COSHHregulations, HACCP regulations & risk assessments. To assist in creating & organising training programs for all the staff. To be aware of and understand yourdepartmental standard operating procedures and adhere to this at all times. To assist the controlling & stock taking of all purchasing items including chemicals, guest supplies, amenitiesetc & ensure all stores are kept neat clean and tidy. To organise & ensure work is carried out in relation to cleaning programs set & maintain records of it. To assist in the cleaning & servicing of rooms should it be necessary. To ensure the HK team are fully aware of all house facilities & current activities. To bring any problems or complaints to the Housekeeping manager. To assist in the leading and motivating of all team members. To attend meetings, appraisals and training as required. To be aware of and adhere to the health and safety, fire and bomb threat procedures. Plus report any item whichmay cause concern to staff or clients. To report any maintenance that is required through the correct channels. To be polite and helpful to guest and staff alike. Any other Ad Hoc duties as required.This job description covers the main objectives, responsibilities and authorities of this position at present.
