They are now seeking a General Manager at their depot in Northamptonshire which has a total team of about 80 staff ofwhich 55 are Drivers, some of which are self-employed.This is an outstanding opportunity to take on a General Manager role and take responsibility for the running of a depotin achieving the high efficiency and customer service standards our client sets.All your management and people development skills will be called into play in this dynamic operational role. With apositive and practical approach, you will develop a team culture that is both commercially and customer orientated,ensuring performance, costs and resources meet our clients objectives.You will be planning and optimising depot resources, managing and motivating warehouse and transport staff, developingand driving total quality and customer services initiatives and leadership and motivation of your team. . As well assucceeding in the existing operation there is scope to devise change and improvement to meet changing market needs.Skills:Commercially aware this is an integral role for a proactive, driven and committed professional to achieve great results.To meet this challenge you will ideally be a highly capable distribution professional with proven depot operationsmanagement experience in express parcels or a similar type environment.Commercially astute with outstanding leadership ability and a strong customer focus, you will have the confidence to wincredibility and make an immediate contribution.
