Overview of DepartmentNorwich Union is the largest creditor insurer in the UK a market worth GBP 5 billion.The business to business creditor market is fiercely competitive. Norwich Union has established a specialist creditorteam to ensure its market position is maximised. The team work closely with account management and the rest of thecreditor virtual team.The role exists to ensure that our generic creditor products are market leading and to influence partner products throughthe Partnerships Marketing Team.About the Role * Manage, support and develop NU's creditor products. * Influence and implement new propositions and changes to generic products * Ensure partner products are managed and changed according to agreed controls and governance procedures * Champion the product strategy * Ensure consistency and efficiency in the management and development of creditor products * Provide guidance to partners and the internal team * Understand key performance drivers at product level * Manage product change priorities (including feasibility) * Ensure knowledge/including decisions is shared and accessible * Ensure opportunities are maximised and risks minimised across the product portfolio * 2005 GBP 1.2bn (GWP and life) * 4 generic products * Hundreds of partner productsKey Responsibilities * Ensure NU's generic products reflect best practice * Champion the adoption of this best practice in partner products * Proactively lead and deliver generic product reviews according to NU's product strategy * Provide product guidance, direction, drive, inspiration and focus for partners, account management and partner marketing * Manage NPD process and priorities according to agreed controls and governance * Manage specific product developments from concept, feasibility, business case through to implementation, refinement and review in line with product management principles * Ensure controls and standards are maintained across partner products * Keep abreast of product change drivers and ensure resulting opportunities are maximised and risks minimised * Product expertise to bids and renewals * Champion the consumer in the product development process * Share best practice (promote culture and manage information)Key Performance Indicators: * Feedback from Partners, Account Management, Partnership Marketing and other internal stakeholders * Management of the generic products and delivery of product initiatives in line with the agreed plan * Effective implementation of decision making and change according to project management disciplines and agreed controls and governance * Successful completion of ad hoc projectsQualifications and SkillsPreferred qualifications: * Degree * ACII * Diploma in MarketingBusiness Experience - Proven track record: * Financial services product/proposition management (5 years) * Business to business and business to consumer developmentLocation: Norwich
